Being lazy

Yelp, I decided the rest of today I'll be lazy. I've been working in the yard since I got off Friday and am pooped. I finally got all my Ike debris burned and put my skirting back on the house.
Its been a busy last couple of months. Had to evacuate for Gustov then turn around and leave again for Ike. That one got us :-( We were lucky though, compared to a lot of others in the area. All we had was a big mess in the yard but the 3 houses were ok.
I'm sort of starting over with my internet work. I had just joined My Power Mall but had to put it on hold for a little while. I plan on doing some Christmas shopping there. Some of my favorite stores are there.
While I'm on the subject, your favorite stores may be there too, if you're interested. Just click my link.
OK, time to go and Happy Holidays in case I don't make it back this year.

A donkey is happily eating grass again after falling down a dry, abandoned
well and being freed in an intensive rescue effort. It appeared that the
animal wandered away from its farm and onto some boards covering the well,
which broke, said Bruce Huseth, fire chief in this western Minnesota town.
Firefighters quickly realized that the animal, which belongs to farmer
Warren Gundberg, couldn't just be pulled from the abandoned well on Bryan
Nelson's land.
So they started pulling away earth with a tractor and dismantling the well
block by block Thursday. Once one wall had been taken apart, firefighters
put a harness around the donkey and guided it out with a rope.
"Whatever it takes," Nelson said as he watched his well come down. "I love
animals, and I'm just glad it's OK."
Gundberg admonished the animal after the rescue: "I bet you'll think twice
about doing that again. If you would have stayed home you wouldn't be in
this trouble."
Huseth said that he has rescued cows that have fallen through ice, but that
the donkey was a first.

Happy Summer

Schools out or almost out. Congrats to all the grads out there. I should have been a teacher; Summer vacations and holidays off. I have been thinking of quitting my job, maybe they'll hire me in the school cafe or something. I think around here you have to start as a call in and that would'nt work. OK, scratch that idea :-(

My vacation is over. I go back to work in the morning. I've been working there almost 18 years and am sick of it. These last couple of months have been a total BITCH. I said I was going job hunting on vacation but didn't do it. I spent most of it working on my auctions and store. Still not finished but I'm edited out. I tried to put something on here but I don't think it worked. The link don't work. Don't feel like messing with it right now.

I did get to see my little grandsons last week-end. Hadn't seen them since January. Now I probably won't see them til October. I see them about 3 times a year.

OK, did my May post. I'll try that code again tomorrow. I can't put ads on my site anymore since I lost it, (domain expired) so I'm using my blog more. I don't know if I'm going to renew it or not.

My April Post

Seems I only make it here once a month anymore. There's just not enough hours in a day to do all I want to do. I'm sure a lot of us have that problem..too much on your plate. Some days after work, I feel beat up. My job is pretty physical and stressful and I'm not getting any younger.Thats where all my energy goes. I say I'm going to do this or do that when I get off but it never gets all done :-( I've been ebaying and working on the next yard sale and trying to get to my store and add some things, I need to place some ads, clean house, pay bills, feed pets, take Mama to her appts., tend to the rent houses...I need a "SCREAM" smiley :-)

Speaking of screaming, I got an email telling me about a lady that bought a pot plant. I think it was at a grocery store. Anyway, she decides she wants to transplant it and when she started getting it out of its original container, something moved..

2 baby copper heads had hatched in there. I had bought Mama some flowers for Easter and after I read that, I sat her flowers on the porch. :-) I never thought of that. We stick our fingers in them sometimes to check if they need water.

I killed one - a snake - not a Copper head last week. Sometimes when they empty my garbage, the lid comes off and I have to bend it real hard to get it to pop back on. It was raining on garbage day so I laid the can down til I could get the lid back on and it wouldn't fill up with rain. The next day when I picked it up to put the garbage in, the snake was under it. I started chasing it with my limb cutters, and when I hit it the first time, it raised its head like it was looking around. I thought Oh s---!, its looking for me so I kept on swinging and hitting it til it was dead. I picked it up with the cutters and put it in my trash can. I wonder if the garbage man got a surprise when he opened my can this time. That il teach em not to break my lid, huh?:-)

OK, enough about snakes. I'm going to give myself night mares.

On a more serious side, it was awful what happened in VA. this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families having to deal with it.

Better than nothing

I started this in my " Word "and forgot to post it Thursday. O well :-)
Yelp, rained on my yard sale. It wasn’t a total loss though. I had put an ad in the paper that said “cancel if raining, ”which I shouldn’t have because we decided to arrange it in my 2 rent houses inside. They are both vacant right now. We put some signs up and managed to get a few people. I made around $30.00. Better than nothing, huh? We’re going to try it again in a couple of weeks. Actually, we're going to start doing them more often. I've been looking for cheap stuff and telling my friends if they want to get rid of their junk to bring it to me. I like doing stuff like that anyway.

My vacation is flying by. I go back to work Monday morning and my dept will be a wreck. Always is on Monday morning but it will be worse this time since I’m not working Saturday. I love my job, I love my job:-( I know, I know, better be glad I have one, right?

I didn't get to see my grandsons this vacation because they went to OK. I'll see them next vacation in May for my youngest one's first birthday. I need to start thinking about what to get him. They have so much, its hard deciding what to get, but I'll come up with something.

Time to get busy with my internet chores. I've been adding new items to my Qshop if anyone cares to take a look. I just have about 2000 items left to go.:-)

Sunday 2 -11 - 07

I said in one of my previous post that I needed to find my directions to put my links back on. I found them and was going to put them back on and..you guessed it. I don't need those directions anymore. Just filled in the blanks. I like it when they make it easy for people like me:-)
I've been on the internet today so long, my shoulders hurt. I was determined to catch up on my ads ..my internet chores. I didn't really catch up but made a little head way. It never ends anyway unless I end it.
I'm going to give my pc, shoulders, and brain a break.

Happy New Year Bloggers!

I see I missed a holiday..I didn't tell you Merry Christmas. Ok, new years resolution: Do something with this blog!.lol..I think I said that last year :-(

Somewhere in my stack of tablets and notes, I have directions on how to put my links on here. That would be a start. I accidently deleted everything when I decided I wanted a new look.

I also need to decide what to give up. I'm trying to do too many things and accomplishing nothing but frustration. Did I mention the interruptions! gotta go!

Happy Thanksgiving

Thought I would check to see if I still had a blog. I'm going to have to take blog lessons. When I first got this blog, I was posting almost everyday. Now its almost every holiday. The only time I can think of a title :-) That's not the only reason--I've been pretty busy. I'm going to put my blog on my list of things to do, or redo.
For now, if anyone pops up, have a Happy Thanksgiving or a great week depending on where you're from. I forget not everyone is in the US.

Happy Labor Day!

I think Labor day will be over by the time this posts but hope you had a good one anyway. I worked today and again Monday. I don't take Monday holidays very often. If I'm off more than a day, my department looks like Rita struck again. Since I lost my helper, I started taking Sundays and Wednesdays off. I miss my week-ends off but I also like that break in the middle of the week so either way is ok.
I just realized I haven't posted since June. Been busy working on my sites, ads, rent houses, and my job, ofcourse.
I'm putting another link on for my latest program I joined. Then hopefully I'll have my web page done soon. Still workin on those words:-)

Are you practicing safe cleaning?

Thought I was going to say something else, huh? :-) I was playing around with my ads yesterday and came up with that. No, I didn't use it. Sounded sort of tacky. I placed some ads for my Veruni store using ad words. Its hard coming up with the right words sometimes. I'll place an ad or link somewhere and want to grab my computer and shake it and say;"DO SOMETHING! One minute I think, "don't give up", then the next I say "forget it." I guess all that comes with the territory.
I'm watching America's got Talent. Some of them are pretty good at what they do. Some should have stayed home. I wouldn't have the guts to get up there in front of everyone and do some of the stunts some of them did. Some of it is funny though.

A little corny but cute

Subject: Dear Diary

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive double pane energy efficient kind. But today I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the work had been completed a whole year ago and I hadn't paid for them.

Hellloooo? Now just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I told him just what his fast talking sales guy had told ME last year...namely, that in just ONE YEAR these windows would pay for themselves! Helllooooo? It's been a year!

There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally just hung up.... He didn't call back. Guess I won that stupid argument.

Yep, I'm up to my old jokes again:-)
